A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO SPECIAL VOLUNTEER

On behalf of everyone at the Epilepsy Support and Information Centre (ESIC), the Department of Neurosciences, and all those who know her – we would like to pay a special tribute to Mrs. Hidayat Gassem.
Hidayat will be leaving Saudi Arabia, after (14) years, to return nome to Sudan; to her family, to old friends and to new adventures. We wish her the very best, but we feel a great loss at her leaving.
Hidayat is a Pediatric Nurse and Patient Educator in the Pediatric Neurology Department of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre. She has also been a dedicated and enthusiastic ESIC volunteer. Yet she is so much more that that.
Hidayat demonstrates professionalism, unselfishness, generosity and caring in all she does, and if you knew her you loved her. She is a special friend to us all.
s a Patient Educator, Hidayat has demonstrated incredible patience, dedication and determination in educating patients and helping them to improving the quality of their lives.
Hidayat has also been a dedicated and active ESIC volunteer – involved in every ESIC event, helping, teaching, organizing and more. Her insight and intimate understanding of patient issues has been an invaluable source of advice and guidance for all of our activities.
So we thank you Hidayat, respectfully, for all that you have done. We will truly miss you, and we wish the very best that the future can bring.
